Susan Selby holds a Master of Science in Education from Drake University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Iowa State University. When Susan is not spending time with her family, she is a program consultant for the Iowa Department of Education specializing in federal programming with a focus on family & community engagement. 

Susan is Mom to Jack, a 25-weeker born in 2006 and Thomas, a 28-weeker born in 2009. Both deliveries were triggered by HELLP Syndrome, a rare and severe form of preeclampsia.
