Jennifer Degl is the founder of Speaking for Moms & Babies, Inc., an organization that advocates for maternal and neonatal health by lending a parents voice, and the author of two books including From Hope to Joy: A Memoir of a Mother’s Determination and Her Micro Preemie’s Struggle to Beat the Odds and Stuck in Bed: The pregnancy bed rest picture book for kids...and moms. Jennifer has spoken in front of the United States Congress, the House of Representatives and the New York State Health Department Medicaid Office to encourage the passing of legislation aimed at helping pregnant mothers and premature babies, as well as several maternal and neonatal health conferences. She has also been teaching earth science and biology at her local high school for twenty years.
